Partial solar eclipse at sunset
This week’s reader photo was taken by Mary-Jane in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.
The recent solar eclipse on 29 April 2014 had people looking to the skies – and for their cameras! Mary-Jane captured this shot at sunset from a hill in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
“I was very happy when cloud decided to descend over our view of the sun. It made photographing possible for me. I was able to capture the Transit of Venus in the same manner. I almost forgot it was happening but as luck would have it, just happened to notice another friend on Facebook mention it and managed to get myself into a position just in time!” said Mary-Jane.
