The dust storm moved fast over the town of Parkes, NSW.

Large-scale dust storms have descended on central New South Wales, turning day into night.
This footage, captured by Parks local Trudie Varcoe, shows the dust storm rushing over the central-west town at 6:20 pm last night (19 January).
The dust storms affecting central western New South Wales are said to be a direct consequence of two years of drought and greatly diminished vegetative cover on the soil surface.
