AG reader photo: regent bowerbird
26 March 2013
A regent bowerbird flying high is the focus of this week’s reader photograph.
THIS MAGNIFICENT BIRD, captured by AG reader Trevor Andersen from Jimboomba in QLD, is a regent bowerbird (Sericulus chrysocephalus) showing off his yellow flight feathers.
“This fast-flying bowerbird has been one of the most difficult birds to capture in flight,” says Trevor. “Their fast, erratic movements make life difficult behind the lens.”
