Lorikeet has lunch among the blossoms
This week’s reader photo was taken by Tony on the Central coast, New South Wales.
“Local rainbow rorikeets (Trichoglossus haematodus) had been feeding in the bottlebrush trees in our local streets. My wife and I saw this beautiful bird one afternoon on our walk around the suburb on the Central Coast, NSW. It was really close, just above our heads. It continued to feed, whilst keeping a close eye on us!” says Tony.
