Golden days
24 March 2016
Fringed wattle (Acacia fimbriata) is found natively in eastern New South Wales and eastern Queensland.
This week’s reader photo was taken by Sarah Kruithoff from Carrum Downs, VIC:
“This stunning fringed wattle lies in the Cranbourne Royal Botanical Gardens of Victoria,” said Sarah.
“This photo was taken to showcase the beauty of wattle trees, with their golden flowers glowing in the day’s sun between winter and spring, and the atmosphere they create throughout woodland and eucalyptus forests.”
Taken with a Canon 600D with a 90-300mm lens.
