Caroline explores the life-giving Macquarie River, learning about its heritage and ecological significance
Caroline makes her way down the tranquil Macquarie River on a stand up paddle board with a local author and expert. The river gives life to many species of birds, lizards and other animals, including Australia’s beloved platypus.
She also meets with Frank Doolan, a local man who reveals the significance of the river to Aboriginal people in the area.
